Covid Protocols

Updated 5/13/2021 - The 2021 Inspiring Hope Run will take place with all state and/or county required protocols that are in place on Race Day.  We are waiting to get the details as to how the most recent announcement from the Governor will change our race protocols.  In the meantime below is the current plan that is fairly likely to change between now and Race Day.

In light of the coronavirus pandemic and the extra precautions in place from state government, we are planning on holding an in person Inspiring Hope Run, but with additional precautions. Please carefully read through the items below; the health of the community depends upon it. We take the health of our participants, volunteers, and staff very seriously.

A decision will be made regarding Early Packet Pickup no later than 30 days before the race and is dependent on the number of registrations.  Bibs will be available as you enter the Start area on Race Day.  Limited Race Day registration will be available space permitting.

All participants will wear a face covering at all times before and after the race.  Face coverings must cover both nose and mouth.  It is recommended that participants pull up their face covering when passing or being passed on the route and when coming within 6 feet of route volunteers/course marshals.

Participants will start in waves of no more than 30.  Participants will self assign to a wave during registration based on average pace.  If you plan to run with family or friends please choose the corral that represents your slowest runner/walker.

Participants will be asked to stay in their cars and away from the Start/Finish area until 20 minutes before their schedule start.

There will be no pre-race water available. Please come with your water bottle/pack pre-filled and ready to go.  There will be packaged snacks after the event.

Hand washing stations with hand sanitizer will be in place at the start/finish area. Use them as soon as you arrive, after you use the restroom, and after you finish the race.

All volunteers will wear gloves and masks and will be briefed beforehand on all extra precautions.

Participants will have the option of picking up their finishers medal from a table or having a volunteer hand it to them.
